I know it’s a bit hypocritical of me to follow up a rant about how much fashion sucks with a shopping post, but the fact of the matter is, a few weeks ago, I placed an order at mytights.com (I recommend them highly) for a couple of pair of merino tights. I’d been shopping around, and knew that good wool tights weren’t going to come cheap. These were among the more reasonable ones out there. @ $23.35/ea they’re not inexpensive, but when you consider the quality and versatility they’re fairly reasonable. They are soft, very stretchy, and seem like they will offer good durabililty and long term wear.
Moreover, I think they look pretty damn good with my new favorite shoes:
I got a brown pair and a black pair, which will go with the majority of my working wardrobe as well as my footwear selection. It’s hard to go wrong with quality basics, and I expect I’ll be seeing a lot of use out of these tights.
Wow, these look really warm and cozy. How did they work out?
They are perfect. They’re exactly what I was looking for, and I bought two more pair afterwards. Pricey, but worth it.
