I’ve been useless today. I’m just tooo het up about Kanza to be any good to anybody. I think i have freaked out about 5 times an hour. I got some work done and all, but I am very thankful I was able to get off early as I was getting way too buzzy and tense to concentrate.
I am nervous and excited; probably more nervous than excited, but a little bit of both. Christi said that’s “skeert” which is as may be. Probably I’d be a fool if I weren’t a little nervous considering as how I’ve never done 200 miles at a whack and I will be well out in the boondocks.
Well, I’ll just ride at my own pace, keep an eye out for the markings, do my best with the map, and try to relax. I know it all goes a lot better when I stop worrying and just ride my dang bike.
Whatever ends up happening, I’ll be back to write it up, probably on Monday.
I wish I had it in me to write up Jonsey & Chrisgo’s rim race, but I don’t. I’ll try to compile a link list of photos from that event on Monday, too. Possibly by then Chris & Forrester will have had time to get their pics up online & I will be able to do a complete list of pics from the evening. Mine are up, if you click the Flickr sidebar on this site. They kinda suck because I used my old camera which doesn’t play well at twilight, but you can get an idea of the hijinks and shenanigans that took place.
